In celebration of our 3 year anniversary, we wanted to do something kinda crazy so we YARN BOMBED THE PLAZA DISTRICT!!!! About 15 of us , under the cover of darkness, created some textile mischief on Tuesday night. Our yarn gang have been knitting together for the past couple of months to get ready to cover the district. The idea was that, by covering everyday objects such as light poles and street benches, we would change the way you see these objects. Please come down to the Plaza District and see what we have worked so hard on!
I cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled I am to have Lauren Miller’s installation in the shop. She is a dear friend and a very talented artist. She is one of those people who can work with any time of medium and dreams up the most magical things. She has brought a winter snow to the shop and it is enchanting. You must come by and see it. We will have it up in the shop as long as we possibly can, but it is for sale. Please come by and check it out. You will not regret it.
