February 18th: A Book Affair

We have a little bit of a book obsession here at Collected Thread. Our current window display is evidence of this.
Lucky for me, my husband is a librarian.
Thanks to a generous book donation, we will be going over a few of the limitless things you can make from old books, such as mobiles, banners, flowers,gift wrapping ideas, cake toppers,and whatever else we can fit in. This is a great class for someone trying to decorate on a budget. All materials will be provided.

February 25th: Embroidery 101
2 to 4pm
$35
Embroidery is no longer just for your grandmother! In this class, you will learn basic hand embroidery techniques and the basic stitches to get your project started- the running stitch, satin stitch,and chain stitch to name a few, as well as a more advanced stitch, the french knot. We are so fancy. Learn how to transfer designs and even create your own pattern. We will be creating accessories for your home and wear! All Materials will be provided.

March 3rd: Learn to knit

3 to 5pm
$35
This is a fun relaxed class where you will learn the basics of knitting by making a scarf. Yarn and knitting needles will be provided and will be your to take home when the class is finished.

March 10th: Vintage Jewelry Making Class
4 to 6pm
$35
Back by popular demand, Jackie Porter will be teaching another great class on Vintage Inspired Jewelry Making. She will teach all of the basic jewelry techniques that you need to get your project going. She also brings buckets of vintage jewelry pieces to dig through and use. It makes you feel like an archaeologist. All supplies will be provided and you get to take home what you make!!!
